Proxy Services

While SPI examines packet headers, a proxy service screens the actual content of each packet allowing control of the underlying Internet protocol. The capabilities of proxy services are as varied as the protocols that they support are different. A feature that all proxies share however, is that of being an intermediary between the client application (e.g. a web browser) and the server. This indirect communication enhances security by obfuscating the client machines involved. PrivaNet provides proxy services for FTP, HTTP, SOCKS and H.323 protocols.
